7 Reasons You Lack Energy
After Smoking

7 ways to fix the lack of energy after smoking.

King Garden Field Notes · Vol. 01

The Story

Sound familiar?

You wake up. Eat your breakfast. Go about your day — insert day story — and come back home after work. Eat dinner. Then you smoke the za.

BAM.  You're high. But now you can't move. Your body is slow. Frozen. You can't think a single thought. You just feel… frozen.

All you want is to move and have a great conversation with your friends. But you can't. No thoughts coming in. You feel like a bot. No emotion.

You go to sleep. You wake up tomorrow and you're not the same as you'd be sober.

Here are 7 fixes.

01

Solution One

Smoke on an empty stomach.

You may not know this, but your gut decides how the za hits you. If your stomach is full, your body is overloaded — your endocannabinoid system and your energy centers all get pulled toward digesting food instead of letting you actually enjoy the high.

Let your last meal digest first. Then smoke. You can always eat after — the food hits even better that way.

02

Solution Two

Drink watermelon juice — during or after.

To gain more energy after smoking, drink watermelon juice. I've tried every juice. Watermelon is the best — purely because of how it cools you down.

After hitting that hot smoke, your body temperature naturally rises. Cold watermelon juice cools you down and balances you out.

03

Solution Three

Walk. Don't sit.

However badly your body wants to sit down and lay there with nothing happening — go for a walk outside. A simple walk lets your brain actually use the za.

The za increases mental energy and thought output. So when you walk — literally and metaphorically — you walk deeper into your own thoughts, and surface insights you wouldn't have sitting still.

04

Solution Four

Run, or hit a high-intensity workout.

The za is a vasodilator. Big word — simple meaning. It widens your veins. Wider veins = more blood flow. Add the heart rate boost the za gives you, and you have a perfect setup for a workout.

Train yourself to work out high. It's one of the greatest healthy habits you can build. Once you push past the first mental barrier, you unlock a flow state where you can just keep going. And going. And going.

05

Solution Five

Don't sleep high.

REM sleep is one of the most important rhythms of human life. REM is the zone of sleep where you dream. Frequent smokers stop dreaming.

The fix: don't go to sleep right after smoking. Let the high work itself out, then fall asleep. Timing depends on the person — about 2 hours is a solid frame.

06

Solution Six

Eat after, not before.

Eating after you smoke makes the food taste better — and it sobers you up. You're putting a different substance into your system, so you shift into a new state.

07

Solution Seven

Wake and bake — with one rule.

Supplement with potassium (fruits) and salted or lemon water afterwards. The za takes a toll on your mental energy. Replenishing those ions — salt, potassium — keeps you firing at high potential all day.

Now go enjoy the za
properly.

Stocked, sealed, and ready when you are.
